Lily, this beautiful graduating senior, had big dreams for her photo session. After I sat down with them and listened to their vision and inspiration, I knew the local park that has beach access would make her dream come to life with a waterside spot. Lily is eager to graduate, although she's made many special memories during her time in high school. She is involved in swimming and a number of school clubs, which has kept her very busy. Psychology and sociology are some of her favorite subjects. "If I had to describe myself in three words, I would say happy, fun, and energetic", she explained, "My grandma is someone who really inspires me, because she is always happy and makes everyone around her happy as well!". I could tell from the moment we met that Lily is genuinely joyful, and spreads that joy everywhere she goes, whether to her classmates or her family. Her mom added, "We will all really miss the way that Lily lights up a room when she walks in it. She has a happy soul, and heart. Making others laugh is one of her favorite things, and she's very intuitive to other people's feelings. Lily is genuine in her love for other people, and would do whatever it took to make them happy." Her mom also shared that she has a strong sense of who she is, and enjoys making her own choices.

"I think if there was one thing I'd say to incoming freshmen, it would be to focus on your grades early on", shared the senior, "Of course, still make time for fun. I hope my own classmates remember me as someone who changed their life in a positive way." Upon graduation, she plans to attend JMU, where I know she will make an incredible impact on those lucky people who will cross paths with her. I can see her joyful spirit in every image below, and hope you can as well! Part of my job as a senior photographer is to capture the graduate as accurately as possible, and highlight their precious personalities. Congratulations to Lily, and thanks to her and her mother for such a wonderful day.
