Baby it's cold outside...at least in Northern Virginia it's gotten much colder much sooner than I ever remember.
Winter cold puts a damper on my creativity: no more warm, hazy sun to make the fall leaves twinkle. Between shorter days thanks to daylight savings time and temperatures, the colder months make outdoor photography difficult!
Let's take on a December Photo Challenge together!
December. Lights. Laughter. Activity. This month is FILLED with photo opportunities. This month is FILLED with photo opportunities. Get creative! Document all of the sites and sounds of this festive month. Here are some examples of some inspiring topics:
-Visiting loved ones: You don't need posed photos to capture your memories! Get out your camera and document all of the hugs and special moments that fill family gatherings!
-Seeing Santa: This one is pretty obvious, but if you have little ones in your life, Santa visits are some of the most adorable photo opportunities!
-Mealtime/cooking: Gather up your friends and have a dinner party! Not only is it a great time to update your friend photos, you can also snag some fun shots of the prep and cooking that you will treasure for years to come. Don't forget one of the main meal!
-Caroling: This is sort of a past-time of years gone by, but it's not too hard to carol at nursing homes or even in your own neighborhood. The lights and the beautiful atmosphere always make for some truly special photos.
