You may recognize this stunning member of my Senior Team from her Hot 100 Senior Style Guide image, but today, you get to meet her and find out how amazing she is, as well. Being part of my Senior Team earns you a spot on some of my exciting themed sessions, and one of those was our “Tulle and Flowers” shoot (which was one of the winning images for the 2016 Senior Style Guide contest). We also did a themed 4th of July session, where Madelyn got to don some patriotic wear, as well...I’ve had lots of opportunities to spend time with this lovely young woman, and am thrilled that she is representing me so beautifully. Madelyn attends Patriot High School, where she is especially active in the National Honor Society, the Beta Club, and the Key Club. Her local chapter of the Key Club is part of a national organization for high schoolers; it focuses on service projects and investing in the communities where they live. She is also part of the AP Scholar program.

“I am proud that I’ve been able to maintain a 3.8 G.P.A., while being in five different academic groups”, explains this grad, “I also work at a gym, and volunteer at our local elementary school.” During her time in high school, this young lady overcame hurtful comments about her petite size and says that she was often seen as being weak. One day, she decided she had enough, and joined a boxing gym. Now, she boxes three to five days a week, and also works at a local gym, something that she says, “really gave me confidence and strengthened my work ethic”. She says that her natural personality is very driven, and she plans to pursue radiology or audiology in college. “I try to be independent, and also to succeed academically, at the same time. My dad really inspires me in this; he has worked hard to provide for us, and doesn’t apologize for who he is.” She was all smiles during our session in Morven Park, and I love the way her images came out. Madelyn, you are brave and you are strong! I’m so proud of you!
