We are right in the middle of the summer months already, and I've realized summer can be a tricky time of year. It's hot, it's expensive to go out and do things every single day, and it's too tempting to become bored. Summer should be the time of year when you are spending time with friends and family, and making unforgettable memories! You may be wondering what you can do that is low-cost and entertaining, so we made you a handy summer bucket list below! If you want to get really fancy, you can write these out on popsicle sticks (leftover ones from your summer treats work, if you dunk them in dish soap to clean them and lay them in the sun to dry), and put them in a jar. When you're wondering what to do, just draw one from the jar! Here's to an amazing summer you won't forget!

Have a picnic: Pack up your favorite snacks, and throw in some gourmet items like Marconi almonds, or delicious cheese. Add an ice pack and hit the road!
Go to a drive-in movie or diner: If your area has a retro-inspired drive in movie or diner, this is a really fun way to spend an evening!
Go to the local fair: This one costs a little bit, but get the unlimited ride tickets, and invite along your besties!
Attend a local concert: You can search Facebook for upcoming local bands and events, and most of them are free.
Go to an amusement park: Have a six flags or other park within driving distance? Pack up and enjoy a day at the park. Start early in the morning to avoid the heat.
Take a road trip: Pick a destination you've never visited, and try to find one that has something special, like the best peach cobbler, or a fun new restaurant!
Try out a new type of food: Check out food blogs in your local area to find something you've never tried!
Feed the ducks: Some local parks have ponds where you can feed the ducks, but be sure to check their policies!
Go star gazing from the bed of a truck filled with blankets and pillows: This idea is super fun with a few friends and don't forget a speaker to blast your favorite songs!
Host a game night: A low cost idea! All you need are some yummy desserts and a place to host. Ask guests to bring their best board games.
Do a photoshoot: It doesn't have to be with me, but we would sure love to make your senior session a part of your amazing summer!
Check out an escape room: Many escape rooms have opened up around the nation, but you'll likely need a group of five or more to go through them. This is also a great activity for a large group, and you can split into teams!
Go boating: If a friend has a boat, see if you can get a group together. Don't forget the La Croix and the life vests!
Have a spa day: Check around for local discount cards to a massage or spa day, and get your girlfriends together for a fun day out.
Rope swing into water: If you can find a safe spot with a rope swing, it can be a great way to cool off!
Go on a bike ride: Borrow or rent a bike, if you don't own one, and get a good workout at the same time.
