It’s so interesting how sometimes others see our strengths more clearly. This is why I love hearing how my senior clients describe myself, and also, how others view them. Sometimes, it can bring out things they didn’t even know themselves! Rachel says she sees herself as “outgoing, athletic, and kind”, and says her friends admire her ability to bring people together. She is graduating from Stonewall Jackson High School, and she loves being part of soccer, dance, choir, and her local church. Her sweet and lovely personality was a ton of fun to work with, and she brought along gorgeous outfits, as well! Her floral dress and cowboy boots worked perfectly with the country setting she requested; and we also incorporated her hard work on the soccer field with her uniform and cleats!

“My mom is certainly my role model, she is the strongest person I know”, explains Rachel, “I really hope to be like her, and I want to be remembered by my classmates as someone who lived her life for Christ, and had a positive impact on everyone I meet.” She read the book “A Child Called It” by Dave Pelzer in high school, and she says it was life changing for her. Now, she plans to attend Marymount University in the fall to study history and secondary education. She will also be playing on the school’s soccer team at Marymount. When I asked her about her favorite high school memory, she said it was taking her senior photos with me! What a kind compliment...Rachel adds, “I loved working with Shannon. She takes high quality photos that make you look beautiful, and feel beautiful, too!"
